normally i would say that making a trident would defeat the purpose of the hard-to-obtain item, but i think you've got it's expensiveness just right, with the six diamonds and the blaze rods

also will the recipe still work if the sword is enchanted or is damaged (durability lost)

Tridents SHOULD be craftable, but this doesnt make much sense.

well if i was to use sticks it would be a bit too cheap and since sticks are very early game, if you were to want a trident without having to vs a drowned you would need to get to the nether first. Hope fully it makes sense. Basically it would be too op if it was a stick...
