This is my first ever datapack for minecraft! I hope you all enjoy it, and i can't wait to add more to it!
This datapack aims to add structures that vary in silliness greatly, from actual dungeons that could fit the theme of minecraft to just a straight up trailer park in the nether. The only unifying characteristic that all these structures have is that i made them.
That being said, what does this datapack add so far?
_______

Rooted Dungeons
________________
This Dungeon can be found in forest biomes(forest, birch forest, flower forest), you'll see the entrance as a hollow tree stump that you can climb down into. This dungeon has many small rooms that spread out all around the center. The center starting room has all the vaults that generate in the dungeon, and these vaults only accept keys that drop from Rooted Dungeon spawners.
While the spawners may be pretty simple at first, spawning regular hostile mobs, drinking an ominous potion here would spawn mobs that have special effects! Zombies get Absorption 3, while spiders become smaller and carry a baby slime! There are more special effect mobs in this dungeon too, but I'll let you see those for yourself. >:3
The loot in Rooted Dungeons have been hand picked by me, and if you know me, you're in for a "treat."
You'll find random junk like rooted dirt and silly useless stuff like Delta Goop(custom named light blue dye)... and also some actual loot too like tons of cooked chicken and iron ingots and copper and stuff like that.
Because forest biomes can be really hilly, there may be some funky stuff that goes on with the dungeon generation, specifically stuff like the inside rooms sticking out of the ground. This isn't intentional, but also i don't know how to restrict the height that structures can spawn on the surface, so hopefully i'll find a fix later.

Trailer Parks
_____________
"Why did you make trailer park villages?" Because its funny!
These villages spawn in forests, meadows, and windswept hills biomes. They are like other villages, housing villagers and has loot you'd see in other villages. These villages are tiny and are meant to make the world feel just a little bit more lived in, even if the concept of trailer parks make the whole thing not fit in the game.
Oh, and there's a nether variant too because why not, they spawn only in crimson forests.
I do have future structures planned, and while these few structures took a while to implement(because i was learning how datapacks work at the same time lol), i hope the next structures i work on finish faster so i can add more to this datapack!
UPDATE FOR v0.4 BELOW

Skeletal Dungeon
________________
Version 0.4 is here, and it brings a big structure: The Skeletal Dungeon!
This fortress is found in soul sand valley biomes in the nether, where treasure and tons of skeletons await.
I finally got the hang of jigsaw blocks, which means i can make much more complex structures, generation wise i mean, in build wise im still not super good at building stuff, but that's ok! You don't need to be super good at building to make awesome stuff!
Inside you'll face rooms that contain custom trial spawners, which spawn lots of skeletons. Because of there being only a couple rooms as opposed to Rooted Dungeons, the trial spawners spawn a lot more mobs before going on cooldown, so make sure you're very prepared before entering! Each room has its own gimmick, and spawns skeletons themed around it. I won't reveal too much about this specific room, but the room before the boss room is really chaotic, and that's saying something coming from me.
This update also introduces a couple of enchantments too! 2 enchants and 3 curses. The curses are silly and you can find them all in enchanting tables and villager trades. The 2 enchants can be found in the Skeletal Dungeon, one of them is pretty strong for vanilla standards, but i would say its worth the challenge to get it! I describe what all enchants and curses do in the patch notes.
Thank you all for the comments and downloads!! It means a lot to me!
And as the version number suggests, im still not done yet! Stay tuned for more updates!

2 Update Logs
version 0.4 : by delta413 08/18/2024 4:54:28 pmAug 18th, 2024
-added Skeletal Dungeon, a hard dungeon with fewer, but tougher rooms compared to Rooted Dungeon. Skeletal Dungeons spawn in soul sand valleys
-added new enchants and curses
-New enchantment: Exploder. up to level 3. on hit with your enchanted weapon, a small blast knocks the mob up in the air. each level increases radius and force of blast. it does not destroy blocks. It is only found in Skeletal Ominous Vaults.
-New enchantment: Combusting. up to level 3. when a mob hits you while you're wearing your enchanted chestplate, there is a chance that you'll ignite the surrounding area. each level increases chance of this effect triggering as well as radius. It is only found in Ominous Skeletal Vaults.
-New curse: Exploding. up to level 2. when a mob hits you while you're wearing your cursed chestplate, there is a chance that you'll explode, knocking you up and other mobs away. this explosion DOES destroy terrain. each level increases chance of effect triggering and radius.
-New curse: Curse of Pocket Sand. up to level 1. randomly, while wearing your cursed helmet, you'll be affected with blindness for a few seconds. that's it, its funny.
-New curse: Curse of Pied Piper. up to level 1. there is a tiny chance whenever you left click a block with this cursed pickaxe in hand that nearby stone and deepslate will turn into infested stone. The blocks that will be converted into infested stone are: stone, granite, diorite, andesite, deepslate, tuff. basically, any blocks with the tag "minecraft:stone_ore_replaceables" or "minecraft:deepslate_ore_replaceables"

Nice data pack, well done!
I just have a suggestion.
In your dungeons, your trial spawners have a very short detection range (2 blocks).
It would be better to increase the detection range of spawners to 7-8 blocks like trial spawners in vanilla test chambers, or even more.
Currently, your dungeons have good potential, but they are too easy because only one spawner is activated each time...
The accumulation of triggered spawners increases the difficulty and that's what you want when you enter a dungeon.
Trial Chambers do this very well, so you can do the same for your dungeons ;)
Good luck and have a good day! ;)
you mean like, there was a structure in the overworld, and when you go into a nether portal at that spot, there was another structure in the nether where you spawned?
i didn't do anything to make that happen, you just got lucky to see structures aligned like that!
though, if making something like that is possible, it would be pretty cool to make >w>
this is my first time making a datapack, im learning how to make them *while* im making them, hence why it takes a while to add stuff to it psdfjkhsdkfjh

edit: cant buy no gas at the gas station :pensive:
i like the vending machines tho. and im impressed, 'cause it took me awhile to figure out how to use the trial blocks
