Once thriving villages now stand ruined, empty, and abandoned. Roads lead only to what once was. Yet the world is not empty. The same dangers haunt the night, waiting for the careless and the unprepared. There are no walls but the ones you build, no defenders but yourself. In this Dead World, you are truly on your own.

The Dead World datapack alters world generation by replacing all villages with ruined, abandoned versions. Villagers, golems, and other village-based mobs no longer spawn, removing the familiar sources of trade and defense. However, hostile mobs still appear, making survival more dangerous and unpredictable. This is not a mod pack, but rather a lightweight datapack that alters structures and, in some versions, terrain, ensuring performance stays as smooth as vanilla gameplay. The result is a world that preserves Minecraft’s core gameplay while reshaping its tone, leaving every area with a lingering sense of abandonment and quiet unease.

This version is the Standard variant:

Abandoned villages stand scattered in an otherwise normal Minecraft world. The familiar structures are ruined, but terrain and vegetation remain unchanged, offering a familiar environment with a haunting twist.
