About the datapack Survivalholic
Survivalholic datapack improves the vanilla experience by adjusting mobs based on player progression. This datapack makes mobs unique and gives them special qualities to spice up encounters and turn Minecraft into a truly terrifying and challenging experience. This is compatible with multiplayer and will work naturally. It was been refined and removed some effects that caused some performance issues.
WE ALSO STARTED OUR NEW SERVER; COMMENT DOWN BELOW TO SEND YOU DISCORD LINK:
ONLY RULES ARE NO CHEATING/HACKS
THAT BEING SAID, GRIEFING, KILLING, RAIDING, MAKING FRIENDS, BUILDING, PASSIVE, ETC. ARE ALL ALLOWED AS IT IS PURE SURVIVAL.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DOWNLOADING THE DESERT VILLAGES DATAPACK.
Change Logs:
Added Explosive Arrow: can be dropped by creepers once you reach Hard Tier I and above. It is extremely deadly on direct contact with an entity and can be fired from any bows, crossbows, and dispensers.
ADDED CRAFTING RECIPES AND ARE NO LONGER DROPPED BY CREEPERS, RECIPE IS SHOW IN THE SLIDES ABOVE.
Added new progression system: this progression system does not use levels making it way more consistent with player progression. It is based on number of mob kills and the player will climb each bracket each 50 kills. It also does not go into the negatives if you die in the first bracket.
Added more mob drops and mob loot variety: mobs carry a variety of armor and weapons as well as enchantments. Drops are 10% - 15% for every mob that wears armor.
Added Biome specific difficulty: The nether, desert, and winter tundras will have mobs capped at a level when starting. These biomes will be more dangerous than other biomes but also more rewarding.
Added name/description onto mob armor and weapons: this is to label what mob drops what type of armor. It labels what tier and what type of mob you got the drop from. Nether series and Desert series mob loot are now available.
ADD HUSK TIERS: NEW MOB ADDED!
NEW AND IMPROVED
Added new reset system: For each death, it will remove 25 kills from your score. You will not reset in difficulty completely upon death.
IRON GOLEM BUFF: Iron Golems are now faster, stronger and can regenerate. To compensate for the stronger mobs, the iron golem will remain as the protector as villages with these new stat increases.
Mob Types:
In easy tiers I and II, mobs will not inherit any abilities. They will instead carry armor and weapons that have a chance of dropping the first day essentials.
HUSK TYPES
The husk comes from an ancient army bringing many challenges for the survivor who dares cross the desert. They are fast yet slower than the zombie but are armed with a different tactic in mind.
Soul-walker: The Soul-walker Husk leaves a wide trail of soul sand wherever he goes; equipped with a sword, soul sand boots, and armor, the Soul-walker is a fearsome opponent if caught off guard. Other husks are equipped with soul sand boots and put you at a disadvantage if caught treading on soul sand territory. The Soul-walker has the least amount of health in its class.
Soldier: The Soldier Husk is equipped with an axe and shield as well as military grade armor from its glory days. This husk hits hard and travels faster when walking on soul sand. He has the highest amount of health in its class.
Huskager: WORK IN PROGRESS; The Huskager scouts the desert plains on top of his ravager. These two make a deadly pair in the midst of battle.
(At the moment, he does not spawn with a ravager. He is instead another ground troop for now)
ZOMBIE TYPES
The zombie turns into a fast squishy mob and can be troublesome if you manage to get swarmed by them. They are now deadlier than ever!
NEW AND IMPROVED
Dead-trail: griefs farms and turns them into into coarse dirt and dead bushes. This zombie can also mow down all types of fences made of planks except for cobblestone walls.
Explosive: Explodes once it takes damage. If you have a strong enough weapon, you should manage to kill it in one swing without needing to land a critical hit.
EXPLOSIVE ZOMBIES ARE REMOVED FROM THE OVERWORLD FOR CAUSING TOO MUCH DESTRUCTION. THE ROLE WILL BE PASSED ONTO THE NETHER ZOMBIFIED PIGLINS NAMED THE BOMBER WITH BETTER MECHANICS AND LOGIC THAN HIS ZOMBIE COUNTERPART.
Swarm: runs slightly faster than the rest of the undead, can tear down doors, and clean villages out.
SKELETON TYPES
The skeleton becomes the soldiers of the Overworld. They are not a force to be reckoned with as they are versatile in close and medium ranged combat.
Archer: This skeleton holds tight onto his bow and enchants it to the absolute maximum. This skeleton behaves like your familiar old fashioned skeleton.
Swordsman: This skeleton is fast to draw a sword and charge towards you. They usually carry two swords for good measure.
Guard: This skeleton challenges you in both close quarters and medium range. The guard carries a shield in his hand and will use his melee weapon if you get too close.
Flame Archer: This archer's arrows sets flames on not only you but on other blocks as well! Dodge and weave responsibly. This mob is activated in hard tier I and above.
NEW: REMOVED SMOKE EFFECT PARTICLES, IMPROVES PERFORMANCE DRASTICALLY. EVERY FLAME SKELETON CAN CAUSE FIRES.
Explosive Archer: This archer is activated in the nightmare tier of up to 300 kills. As the name suggests, this skeleton carries netherite armor and has arrows of explosive power! He wields an enchanted netherite axe once you get close to him. He has a good chance of dropping his highly upgraded enchanted gear.
PRO TIP: He now wields explosive tipped arrows, if you get shot on direct impact, you will explode and hopefully survive if you got good enough armor. deflecting the arrows with a shield will not work either and will blow up beneath your feet once it hits the ground. Your best bet is to either shoot him with explosive arrows or to close the distance and challenge him to a melee fight.
CREEPER TYPES
The creeper becomes a support unit with devastating results. Be careful!
Home-wrecker: Explodes nearby common building materials like planks and cobblestone. This creeper moves fast!
Proximity: Explodes immediately once he reaches you. This creeper emits particles on top of his head and will blow up without a fuse!
Stunner: The slowest creeper of the bunch, this charged creeper emits a purple circle that completely stuns players who dares surpasses the radius. Be aware of their presence.
NEW PIGLIN
The piglin has been armed with nether based items and introduces.a new class of deadly undead walking mines.
BOMBER - This piglin will explode if you are within its 3 block radius. It does not matter if he is passive or aggressive towards the player. DO NOT LET HIM NEAR YOU!
GHAST
The Ghast has received an explosive radius buff; This is the only change needed to make them more dangerous. The ghast has also received a slight nerf to its explosive radius.
PRO TIP: Do not use a shield or tank the shot on direct impact. YOU WILL DIE EVEN WITH FULL NETHERITE ARMOR (UNENCHANTED)
Player Abilities
Player abilities upgrade the health, strength, and movement speed of the player as they climb up each tier.
