Excavation (Mining Expansion)
Excavation aims to improve the mining experinence without overwhelming the player with new items and instead uses existing items and blocks in new ways to create an easy to understand experience.
It also adds new uses for several items like golden pickaxes and copper. When playing with Excavation installed, you will progress from the stone age to the copper age and then reach the iron age. Copper is used as a stepping stone and replaces iron in some recipes. You will also construct multi-block structures for smelting and crafting.

An invisble item frame will spawn on top. Place washed raw iron into it and wait for it to melt. You can place multiple stairs around a single cauldron!
