🚀 New Features

  • Added snowy owls.

🔧 Improvements

  • Increased the animation distance to 200 to prevent players from seeing owls floating without swinging their wings.
  • Added a mobcap for the Owls to improve performance. (15 max. Will sometimes go over on worlds with pre-existing owls.)

💻 Technical

  • Reorganized the textures and models folder.
  • Removed unnecessary files.
  • Changed the owl's texture file to be neater. (THIS TOOK TOO LONG, I HATE YOU NOX 😀)

Hi, I love the mod (it's super cute)! However, there are a LOT of owls spawning, at least in my opinion. I combed through the data pack to see if I could edit the spawn rate, but I could not locate it. I then tried to make a separate data pack to reduce the spawn rate, but I could not seem to find the owl's ID (when I looked in the game it said armor stand/allay). I'm very new to data packs but any guidance on how I could make a data pack to edit the spawn rate or just edit the mod to reduce it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for posting this!

We just added a mobcap of 15 with the latest update. It only stops the owls from spawning. Doesn't remove them so be sure to kill any that you don't want.

For some reason both the fabric mod version of this and the datapack version makes me unable to use my command menu. Hitting enter on a command just exits the screen like I used it but then there’s no feedback. Like I’ll try to locate a biome and never get a response from the game. I’ve been sitting here testing all my mods and I’m certain it’s this one. So odd, it could be a conflict but I haven’t been able to deduce which mod it’s conflicting with and since the datapack does it too maybe it’s the game version?

No, that is a unintended side effect. Sorry for the trouble, just run this command and it'll fix it. (It stops the commands running from displaying in chat when a player is using the chat menu.)
