I made glow squids into hostile UFO mobs that make the game more challenging. If you're good at PVP and think the game is too easy then this datapack is for you. They're meant to be a challenge but also worthwhile for their loot.
There are five variants for each of the ore types in the game, each will drop the respective materials that their ship is made out of. Here they are with the corresponding health:
They will spawn at villages, among cows, bastion remnants, and end cities.
I recommend fighting them with a Power V bow.

- Copper (75 HP)
- Iron (100 HP)
- Diamond (150 HP)
- Netherite (200 HP)

Here are some features that I plan on adding in the future:
- Cow abductions - occasionally you'll see one of the UFO's hovering above a cow which is levitating towards it. Once the cow reaches the UFO it will run away, stealing the cow, and they both will disappear. If you hit the UFO before the cow reaches it then it will drop the cow and initiate combat.
- Crashed UFO - rarely on your adventures you might encounter a crashed UFO with smoke coming out of it. Using a bucket of water, tropical fish, and whatever metal the ship is made out of on the crashed UFO will cause it to befriend you temporarily. You will then have a period of time where you can trade with the friendly UFO before it flies away.
- Craftable/Flyable UFO - obtaining rare drops from destroying/trading with UFO's will allow the player to craft one of their very own. The ship will have a fuel source of amethyst crystals and enable the player to fly around. It won't be as fast as an elytra so as not to devalue that content but it will be very fuel efficient. It will enable the player to do things they've never done before like hovering in place, consuming very little fuel.

i wanna say this data pack is the best data pack I ever seen its my favorite!
and I have questions
1 Is shield works?
2 Is looting works?
3 Will UFO still spawn after killing all of them? (for example from the village)
4 when will the update with flyable UFO?
I can not wait for this update.
Finally flying without elytra and amethyst farm can be useful.
- No, shields do not work against the UFO laser. Armor does not work either. The laser will always deal 3 hearts of damage if it comes into contact with the player. However there is an audio and visual queue that occurs before the UFO fires so that the player will know when they are about to fire and they can dodge it. This is something I might change in the future though but I wanted their projectile to be unique to anything already in the game.
- Yes, looting does work to give you additional materials if you kill them
- The UFO's spawning from villages is determined by the cats that spawn there naturally (don't worry you can still breed cats safely). So yes if you kill all of them at a village they will eventually return.
- I am going on vacation for 2 weeks after Christmas so I am hoping to create the Crashed UFO and Craftable/Flyable UFO during that time. I still have to do all of the modeling and texturing in Blockbench and then do the coding for them afterwards.
If you have any other ideas of what you think I should add please let me know. Also let me know if you find any bugs with the datapack.This looks epic but i don't want overworld Ghasts on my server XD
