This data pack is designed to be used with the Project Extinction resource pack in order to extend the functionality of the pack.


Project Extinction currently has these features accessible through the data pack:

Dinosaur Changes:
  • All dinosaurs now have custom sizes once spawned
  • Dinosaurs now have custom item drops
  • Some dinosaurs have custom walking speeds, health, etc.
Custom Recipes:
  • Weapons and tools crafted from dinosaur-related items
  • Custom foods to extend Minecraft's food system
Advancements:
  • A full advancement tree designed to guide the player through Project Extinction's features and story
Custom Items:
  • Banner patterns
  • Paintings
  • Music discs
Structures:
  • Ancient Digsite
  • Time Machine

Update 2.1 brings many changes to the game, both with the resource pack and with the datapack. The changes for both can be found here:

Added 9 mobs:
  • Shantungosaurus - Donkey
  • Lambeosaurus - Mule
  • Stegosaurus - Sniffer
  • Dracorex - Goat
  • Gigantoraptor - Strider
  • Spider model
  • Bristletail
  • Whiptail
  • Euoplocephalus 
 Changes to the following dinosaurs:
  • Small fix to Parasaurolophus model
  • Adjusted Therizinosaurus size
  • Remodeled Utahraptor entirely, and added Raptor Armor
Changed/added 40 new items:
  • Textures for all meats
  • Custom leather hides for each* dinosaur
  • Item drops for all new mobs
  • Custom foods
  • Music Disc "Extinct" by RedWolf
  • Sauropod banner pattern
  • Project Extinction Painting
  • Several lore items from the YT series
  • The Morning Star (Mace upgrade)
