Halfcraft is finally available for 1.19*!

Halfcraft was an amazing command block creation by Koder which allowed you to place any** block anywhere in the world. It's that simple. This release is almost the same as the original, with some slight tweaks/improvements.

As always, it's fully resource pack compatible and might even have mod compatibility in the future. It should also work with most datapacks, but if there's a conflict just let me know and I can try to resolve it. It also worked with most

New features:

  • Nudging blocks is now based on where you're looking rather than north, south, east, and west.
  • All solid blocks are supported by default
  • Broken feature where sneaking twice with a block selected will fix the disappearing block visual bug
  • New multitool mode

Free movement mode:

With at least 1 block selected, put the multitool in your offhand to enter and exit free movement mode. When in free movement mode, if you punch your currently selected block, it will track your camera and snap to the nearest pixel. Punching it again sets it where it is. You can use free movement mode to place blocks roughly where you want them more quickly so all you need to do is refine where the block is.

Disclaimer/stuff:

The current version posted has a couple known bugs and probably other bugs I don't know about as well. If you find any bugs or have requests, let me know and I'll probably get to them. A few of my current plans are:

  • Updating to 1.19.4 which would (hopefullly) come with a few large performance improvements
  • Block grouping and locking
  • Animating blocks
  • Probably not but maybe resizing blocks (more likely with the changes in 1.20.5
  • Z-fighting fix (z-amends)
  • Survival compatibility(?)
  • More features that will hopefully be useful
Because stuff like Block Display Studio and the Axiom mod are now available, idek if I want to update this so if I get one (1) comment in the next 50 years on this I will update it to whatever the newest version of minecraft is, with all the aforementioned new features, and release it as Halfcraft 3.0.

*This is not the official Halfcraft, but I tried to keep it fairly true to the original
**Any full, non-transparent block for it to work well
CreditKoder was the original creator so credit goes to him for that, I used CloudWolf's block ID packager (slightly modified) for the actual function
