Hallowtide - MC Config's Collaboween
The MC Configs Discord server was created to help people learn about and collaborate on custom worldgen, datapack techniques, and more. During mid-October, some of its members decided to get together and make a datapack together for fun, themed around the upcoming holiday! While the datapack is being uploaded under catter1's name, many people have worked on the project together. See the names next to each feature to see who did what.
In this datapack, you will find:
- Villages have been replaced with graveyards, full of Zombie Villagers (Kirven Avion)
- World has been locked to dusk, creating a perfect spooky atmosphere (Kirven Avion)
- Darker Darkness (Kirven Avion)
- Many vanilla biomes have gotten a light remodel, with spookier foliage colors, more pumpkins, and cobwebs (Kirven Avion)
- In exchange for less Creepers and Endermen, more Bats and Witches spawn (goldSleeps)
- New biome: Pumpkin Patch. It looks very spooky, and has giant pumpkins (thxlotl)
- New structure: Nether Complex. Originally built in the nether, an evil force pulled it up, and reburied it deep inside the overworld (SrGabo)
- Lore and loot tables for the Nether Complex (SrGabo)
- Technical backend fixes for the Nether Complex (catter1)
- New "structure": Tombstone. If you find one of these giant tombstones on the surface, you are sure to find a Nether Complex directly underneath it (catter1)
- New item: Fang Shot. Found in the Nether Complex, this crossbow shoots three explosive evoker fangs (catter1)
- New item: Bat Bomb. Also found in the Nether Complex, tossing this item out will make the user vanish in a cloud of bats (catter1)
