This is a datapack can be used for singleplayer & multiplayer servers.
This datapack allows players to be revived after they have died in hardcore by throwing a totem of undying on a custom made shrine.
If you are in singleplayer you will need to throw a totem on the shrine at some point before you die to store a charge.
(Dead player in spectator must be within 8 blocks of the shrine, you will see particles on the dead player when they are in range)
Shrine can be made by placing a Lapis Block on top of a Gold Block, and dropping a Diamond Block (can be changed with settings) on top.
Shrines can be removed by dropping a piece of tnt on to the shrine and you will get 3 Diamonds back.
This only creates the armor stand needed for the shrine so you can build anything you like around it.
(These only apply if the Survival Shrines option is enabled and is enabled by default)
Alternatively they can be placed by a admin through the admin menu and the ability for players to create shrines can be toggled on and off.
Totems can now be crafted with 4 Diamond Blocks, 4 Gold Blocks and a Player Head.
Player Heads will always drop from a player when they die.
The drop rate for Totems has been changed, by default it is a 50/50 chance for Evokers to drop a Totem or an Evoker Head (acts just like a player head for crafting)
This datapack may not be compatible with other packs (primarily ones that change evoker and player loot tables)
Please keep the file as a .zip or else the uninstall function will not work properly.
This is my first datapack so feedback would be appreciated.
Special Thanks to my friend VoidsEdge for helping me optimize the pack!

v 1.5 : by RainbwRobyn 01/01/2022 11:13:41 pmJan 1st, 2022
- Changed the totem recipe to be shapeless
- Revamped Guide Book to now be dynamic with pack settings
- Renamed "Survival Shrines" setting to "Shrine Permissions"
- Added Shrine Cost Setting
This changes the item required for Shrine creation
Changing this setting also changes the items refunded when destorying a shrine
Note: This only change the item you throw down, the blocks placed down always remain the same
Options include:
Diamonds
Emeralds
Copper
Gold
Netherite
- Uninstall function now actually disables the datapack
"Why wasn't this a thing in the first place?!"
I had incorrectly assumed that the /datapack command could not be used by datapacks

1) A player head will drop from a player when they die (only really useful if you're on multiplayer)
2) By default in the pack Evokers will drop their head 50% of the time and a totem the other 50%. This can be changed in the pack settings. Functionally an Evoker head works exactly like a player head for crafting.
You can farm Evokers by summoning a Raid (assuming you haven't disabled raids)
Also note after creating the shrine you may remove the lapis and gold blocks if you wish to get the resources back or replace them with other decorative blocks
I'm not gonna make any promises though. As I only really work on this pack in my spare time.
Hope this explains things
I also updated the description a bit to explain this
Minecraft will say the pack will say it's out of date but you can just ignore that
This only creates the armor stand needed for the shrine so you can build anything you like around it"
i didn't understand what you meant when you said "This only creates the armor stand needed for the shrine" can you please answer me asap
As for the throw TNT part, you just need to toss a piece of TNT in item form onto the shrine and it will remove the shrine and partially refund your diamonds.
