About
"Humanity Lost", is a datapack made for the IMAGEination Datapack Jam, hosted by Datapack Hub.
The jam's theme was a personal interpretation of an image given by the hosts, you can find it here if you're curious.
I interpreted the image as a sight into a future where humans are long gone, and the world is slowing decaying. Two towers with human statues on top, a monument reminiscent of humanity's achievements. The planet, once vibrant with life, now gasps for breath, its celestial veins choked by entropy. The oceans, once azure tapestries, now pale and lonely. The forests, once verdant choirs, have whispered their final verses. The once abundant animals, now as rare to sight as the Halley comet. But I think that's enough for my interpretation let's get to the good stuff.

Datapack info
Play as a geodean, a race of aliens obsessed with knowledge, philosophy, and the cosmos. You are sent on a mission to a mysterious, withering planet. Embark on a lonely journey through an unfeeling world. Try piecing together where humanity went, or enjoy the beauty that is left on the planet. Just know, this world's fate was sealed long before you arrived.

The datapack comes with a texture pack to go along with it, you can download it in this page as well. It was made by Thetachan.
Made in 1.20.6 but it could work for 1.20.5 as well not sure tho so don't count on it pls hehe
This was made in a single day because college finals, so please have that in mind lmao

Not to annoy you with optimization, it was just something I wanted to let you know.

Looks cool and I'm really into Sci-Fi so I'll have to try it out when I can. Also really impressive that you managed to make this in a single day, especially based on what the other comments have been saying.

This was an amazing datapack, and i really like the story behind it, and also the fact that it was made in a single day is so cool to me.

The only bug i could find, was that you could throw the book out of your inventory, and scan a mob, which woudn't add it into your book (thought that is a really small bug).

A great datapack, and a really great interpretation of the image!

Honestly a really cool datapack. The storyline is unique and had me intrigued. The changes made to the familiar Minecraft environment that turn it into a liminal creep-zone is done quite well. And I like the alien names and characteristics and lore given to the normal Minecraft mobs. The decision to disable the spawning of certain hostile mobs is interesting. The only bug I found is that some of the passive mobs that can spawn don't have geodex entries.
