🦠Infectious
My project for datapack jam 10. The datapack simply adds an infection that the player can catch. Datapack also adds 5 advancements related to the infection.
How does it work?
The infection is quite simple. If you get melee damaged by any of the infected mobs (including infected players) you have a 33% chance of getting infected. First symptoms will only show after two minutes of incubation period. And then there will be three minutes of different effects, depending on the progress of the infection.
Some of the effects are deadly, but all of them are survivable. Effects cannot be cured by simply drinking milk (but you can always try). You can cure yourself the same way you cure Zombie Villager. The cure will only work before the last stage of the infection (last stage starts four minutes after getting infected.
In the last 30 seconds of the infection, you can spread it by air to other players and even villagers. The chance of getting infected by airborne virus is only 10% (per second) and you have to be close to the infected (up to 4 blocks away).
