Formerly known as Compass Coords.

This data pack takes information relevant to survival and attaches them to specific tools. If you're holding a relevant item in your off hand and in your main hand, you will be given information from the main hand.

Compass

When holding a compass, you are shown your coordinates and what direction you're facing. X or Z will be colored orange if you're looking in the negative direction or green if you're looking in the positive direction.

Map

When holding a map, you are shown your coordinates and what biome you are currently in. However, the direction you're facing will not be shown to you.

Clock

When holding a clock, you are shown what day it is and how many minutes it has been since you have last rested (slept or died). If you haven't rested for 40 minutes, the time will be yellow. If you haven't rested for 60 minutes, the time will be red, and phantoms will start to spawn at night.

Light

When holding most light sources, you will be told the general level of light you are standing in.

Light (12 to 15)

• Blazes and Zombified Piglins don't spawn.
• Snow and Ice melt without forming.
• Mushrooms uproot.

Dim (8 to 11)

• Plants grow and grass spreads.
• Blazes and Zombified Piglins start spawning.

Dark (4 to 7)

• Crops uproot.
• Grass and Mycelium stops spreading.
• Monsters start to spawn.

Black (0 to 3)

• Bats spawn.
• Dirt cannot be spread to.
