Hi everyone, I'm back with another datapack
So basically, I was playing mc recently and I messed around with new commands in 1.20/1.21 when I got this idea.
With this datapack, you can make splash/lingering potions float in air until killed, which will result in them falling down on ground and do what potions normally do. Same goes for items. I imagine this can be used in some kind of map with combat or smthn(for example u can do so in arena, there will be potions in air waiting to be shot down etc.) but I don't make maps so what do I know?
Now you might be wondering: How do I make potion or item float?
Its really simple, open chat and enter /function entitydisplay:entityholder , this command spawns invisible "pedestal"
for the potion or item. Then, simply throw a potion(right click) u want on the pedestal and tada, it should float in place, same with item(s). Items thrown at the pedestal are never despawning and can be picked up even without killing the pedestal, and the never despawning works even after the pedestal is killed(item is no longer floating). Warning! It is theoretically possible to put both potion and item(s) onto one pedestal, and while in some situations it may be desirable, in situation where its not just make sure you are standing very close or at the location of the correct pedestal, entities are put on those based on proximity to player
One last thing: This datapack is currently only for 1.21+ but if ya'll want I can make it work for versions 1.20.4-1.21+, it's because the datapack at its current state uses @n which is only available in 1.21+
MAKE SURE TO PUT THE FOLDER U FIND INSIDE OF THE EXTRACTED .ZIP FILE INTO THE DATAPACKS FOLDER, NOT THE WHOLE EXTRACTED FOLDER

Now the datapack officially works I'm sorry for everyone who downloaded it and it didn't work, it should now.(Stupid folder name change)
