❅ Welcome to Minecraft WINTER! ❅
(Bah Humbug Edition)

This data pack freezes the overworld into a perpetual winter! Every single biome is covered in ice and snow,
and as the temperature drops so does your chance of survival... Try to keep warm as best as you can, otherwise
you'll freeze to death in the icy cold!
Hoping to escape the cold by going to the Nether? Well unfortunately the Nether comes with its own dangers.
The Nether is burning hot, so don't stay too long or you'll get heatstroke!

same as the normal version but without all the Christmas stuff!

Would you know if its appliable to an already existing world and will it work on a server?.
Also after Christmas I plan on removing it so would there be any prolonged effects after removing this?.
I have another question as well sorry, does this have any way on turning off the survival temperature like through a config or something..
I dont think many people would appreciate dying randomly to temperature.. XD
I wanted to add this to a server I play on and also Moderate, I feel this would be fun for the others who play on it for like the winter season to hit make it feel more Christmasy.. XD
And no, you can't really prevent the temperature mechanics without actually going into the files and removing them, sorry. :(
I suppose I could make a version of the pack that only has the Christmas items and stuff, but since the custom items use CustomModelData to work you would need to keep the resource pack even after removing the data pack, and items like the santa hat and jingle bells would stop functioning entirely (which is less then ideal...)
Maybe I could make a resource pack to retexture grass and rain to make it look like its snowy, but there's not much else I can do unfortunately. :(
It definitely doesnt really sound ideal but I guess I do kinda expect some things to not be completely removed after disabling a datapack..
Does the non-chrismas edition have many custom items?.
Perhaps that could always be an option (still have the snow lingering around as a problem but that can kinda be fixed with purging it with rain after)..
If not added to the server I do want to still play around with thisyself though tbh, it seems pretty cool even with the temperature stuff..
A bit of a challenge in itself or to go alongside something like the cracker's witherstorm mod since this kinda stops you from camping out in the nether so easily.. XD
