This Datapack adds three individual Dimensions which mirror your original overworld, nether and end Dimensions. These worlds can be used to mine and excavate to your hearts content without destroying the world you are living and building in.
How can I enter/exit a mining dimension?
By using the command /trigger miningworld you will, after 5 sekonds of holding still, be teleported to the exact same coordinates in the respective mining dimension or back.
What are the differences between normal and mining dimensions?
The mining dimensions are generated the same as the vanilla dimension with the same seed. This means that most everything will look the same, although foliage (grass, flowers, trees, etc.) seem to be somewhat independant from the world seed and might differ.
To make it more apparent you are in a mining world you will see a custom bossbar indicating such. This can be toggled with the command /trigger miningworld_indicator.
How safe is it to teleport between dimensions?
There are some measures in place to prevent sudden damage or death when teleporting. For one you get resistance 255 and fire resistance for 10 seconds and if you end up in mid-air a dirt block will generate beneath you to prevent falling from extreme heights or into the void.
Is this balanced/a cheat?
Of course this is somewhat of a cheat, as this effectively duplicates everything you can find in your world. However I have tried to keep posible exploitation in any other way to a minimum, thus the neccesary teleport delay of five seconds and the requirement not to move during this time.
Neccesary commands:
/trigger miningworld Teleports you into or from a mining dimension.
/trigger miningworld_indicator Enables/Disables an indicator if you are in a mining dimension
Installation
Simply put the downloaded zip file into your datapacks folder and make sure it is enabled using the /datapack command . If you are installing this onto a server you might need to restart the server after enabling the datapack.
Compatibility
This datapack should be compatible with Minecraft 1.20 and future updates so long as no major changes in datapack or command structure ocure.
This datapack should be compatible with most other datapacks.
