What!? Somebody did the no bats datapack?
I don't see a problem doing another one.
While some datapacks I looked up is just killing them with a timer or spawning them with NoAI in the void, so I made myself a datapack remove them from spawning pool prevent them from spawning. And I'm willing to share this to community, and update them to higher versions.
Latest news:
With the change of Minecraft 1.21.2, there is no longer incompatible with other pack that change world generation anymore.
You can freely add without concerning about it alter world generation like berfore.
This mean the datapack has reach to its final stage and will no longer need any update.
(Unless Mojang changing things again, which is unlikely)
For older version:
This datapack works on Forge, Fabric, Paper, Spigot,... However, I'm unsure if it conflicts with mods/plugins that alter world generation, as this adjustment may need to be done manually. If you wish to ensure compatibility with your mod, you may need to make the necessary adjustments yourself.

Have something to say?
can't also choose the platform, mine is fabric. is mod only for forge?
when downloading and installing, i've got a message like "uncompatible". i've put the zip file into minecraft\resourcepacks.
here's the screenshot: ibb.co/CsphzDyk
i think mods are okay, because i only use some map generation tweakers, but thanks for your help anyway.
do you think /gamerule doMobsSpawning false may work to disable bats (beside other mobs)?
There are variants mod/plugin/datapack that does the same results but different methods, that's why there're so many. I can see your confusion.
Tho I must say you're on 1.21 and using map generation tweakers, so there might be some conflict with my pack there. If you see those conflict and need some help adjustment the pack, feel free to ask. And remember to let me see which mod you use if you do so, that's would be so much helpful.
And /gamerule doMobsSpawning false apply for all mobs, not just bats. Sorry to disappoint you but you have to rely on mods if you wan to do the gamerule thing.
Also, don't put the datapacks in resourcepacks folder, they're pack but do different things so have to be in different location.
I have been searching for something like this for a long time.
Btw, for those wondering why this only works on version is 1.20 and 1.20.1. The official mc versions are missing a "ore_diamond_medium.json" file
How do I know? Cause i have been banging my head, trying to make the very same data pack that JackFire03 made 4 months ago!
Also this pack works with the Create forge/fabric mod. So i don't see any reason for this not to work with other mods that add ores and other blocks to the vanilla biomes. Just make sure you have made a backup before hand in case it dosen't.
Sincerely
BjornK24
I didn't check if it working on 1.20.3 and 1.20.4 or not, because I'm very busy lately, but I looked up some changing of official versions and I can see that they could work well on 1.20.3 and 1.20.4. Checking them might take a few days. Could be next week or next few days defending on how busy I am, but I'll give the update ASAP.
