No Despawning Death Loot [OUTDATED HERE, UPDATED AT MODRINTH]

This pack will prevent your death loot from despawning by preventing their age to -32768, which prevents items from aging and eventually despawning.

Note this pack wont work if gamerule "doImmediateRespawn" is set to true. This is because the player immediately respawns away from their death loot before this pack can affect their items.

Lag from Death Loot would be very rare, but in case it does happen, here are some Admin commands:
  • admin_kill_death_loot (kills all rendered death loot)
  • admin_kill_death_loot_100 (kills nearest 100 death loot)
  • admin_kill_death_loot_10 (kills nearest 10 death loot)

I don't know how paper servers work, but if Datapacks work for paper server then this one should. The only issue with this pack is that it wont work if gamerule "doImmediateRespawn" is set to true, because the player immediately respawns away from their death loot before this pack can affect their items.

Hey, it seems to be working great! this should be native in the game



NOTE: your datapack seems to be not compatible with /gamerule doImmediateRespawn true

It`s an minor issue since it`s not used a lot, but would be good to add it on the description, since other datapacks may use it

I use Vanilla Tweaks to get it, but it's very easy to add, so I'm sure there's lots of datapacks out there for adding the recipe: https://vanillatweaks.net/picker/crafting-tweaks/

it's functionality was added but it has no recipe without datapacks or mods
