Updated for 1.17!

I was looking a long time for a possibility to disable the generation of mineshafts because i dont like them at all.
So if you want to disable it too, here you are :)

How to:

1. Download the ZIP and extract it anywhere you want
2. Start creating a New World
3. In the creation menu select 'Data Packs'
4. Now Drag&Drop the extracted FOLDER into your Minecraft window
5. Select Yes on the following question
6. Activate the Data Pack with the Arrow on the Icon next to the Name
7. Now the Data Pack should be on the left side under 'Selected'
8. Select Done and set the rest of world generation as you like.
9. DONE

If you allow cheats you can test if it is working with following command:
/locate mineshaft

If you get pretty fast some coords and the distance: unfortunately it didnt work :(

If you dont get any response for a pretty long time: you should then get a message like 'Could not find that structure nearby'

I dont know for sure if it works on Multiplayer too, but i think so because the world generation should be the same
