Rare Haunted Mineshafts can generate (as well as normal ones), made with jungle wood and soul torches, these have working "possessed" Minecarts, which get pushed around the mineshaft as if they were being pushed by an invisible force, these minecarts can have cave spiders spawners in them, TNT, (which explodes when it hits you) or chests/hoppers with standard Minecart loot in them.


The generation is a bit wack, if you're /locate teleporting straight to it, it's often best to wait about half a minute or so for it to actually generate a bit more, if you go straight to it, it will be tiny.

If I set the pack format to 9, will this work in 1.18.2?

It might, you'll have to remove the line in data\hauntedmineshaft\functions\tick.mcfunction about the Allays tho, since they don't exist in that version.


(Also you really don't have to change the pack format, you can just ignore the error message and it works)

Well, I ask because world gen is coded very differently in 1.18.2. I was assuming that the mineshafts were done via structure generation.

Oh, I dunno then, but ik I kind of cheated with this datapacks so most of the Haunted Mineshaft generates "live" instead of at worldgen bc I couldn't understand jigsaw blocks, so there's a good chance it'll just work anyway

Hear me out: Sculk guarded geodes. In those, calibrated sensors spawn along with shreakers that summon wardens as soon as they are alerted! Seems the sculk wants to keep that crystal... perhaps a few echo shards might be found?

I feel like I just did a geode based pack with your last idea? I like the idea of sculk+amethyst stuff though, might do something with that later, atm thinking of huge amethyst crystal spikes spawning as features in deep dark/ ancient cities... If I do do that, it will probably be closer to that,

WAIT A SECOND YOU MADE THE OVERWORLD GEODES WOOHOO! I do like spikes better. If you want a hard but good way to renew echo shards: Warden sonic boom+amythist block=echo shards! Part of my sculk mod comin up but you could make it into a fun pack!
