Welcome to Ore Generation 2, the significantly improved successor to Nicer Ore Distribution.
This pack is dependent on Datapack Utils by ImCoolYeah105. Just follow the link and unzip both datapacks into the datapack folder of your Minecraft save. The new ore veins will generate in previously loaded chunks, so be aware that you may find the new ore in underground areas you've already cleared.
The default Minecraft mining pattern of tunneling to a level near the bottom of the world and branch mining for hours can be one of the least satisfying parts of the Minecraft experience. But simply making ores more common isn't enough to make mining a satisfying experience. Enter Ore Generation 2. Minecraft's underground has now been divided into several ore 'hotspots'. Ore will continue to spawn normally, but will now spawn a significant quantity of additional veins at the following locations:
Diamonds now spawn much more frequently from levels 2 through 8.
Redstone now spawns much more frequently from levels 8 through 16.
