This Datapack only works for 1.20.2+ (sadly)
Want to place your block-palette randomly but not spend ages placing the blocks?
This Datapack lets you replace a whole selection or just a specified type of block in that selection with a block-palette from your Hotbar!
The Datapack is only usable with administrator permissions (you need to be able to run functions)
After using this pack for quite a few builds, I have noticed issues when selecting large areas. Id recommend not replacing large areas but splitting them up and replacing multiple smaller sections.
main will always be the most up to date version.
If you want in dev versions, feel free to download the in_dev. (might not have this exact name)
If there are multiple versions, the older one will work up to the newer one.
[If there is one "1.19.2" and one "1.20" the "1.19.2" will work from version 1.19.2 until version 1.20]
To get the Chat GUI do /function bprand:get_ui
Klicking on "Give Selection Marker" gives you a spawn-egg that is used to place the corners of your Selection
If you have not placed a valid selection you will get error messages when klicking "Run Replace Command"
To replace Blocks in the Selection klick "Run Replace Command".
This will replace all Blocks in the selection with blocks you have in your Hotbar (these will be placed randomized)
If you want to only replace a specific Block, put that Block in your Offhand and running the command will only replace these Blocks in your Selection.
[Keep in mind, this is quite a lot slower than replacing the whole selection]
You may have no Item in Hotbar Slots if you run the command.
If you have non Block Items anywhere except the last Hotbar Slot, the replacement might fail. You will not get an error message, but some blocks might have not been edited.
If the replacement has been finished you will get a message with the amount of Blocks edited/checked.
If your game or the server crashes while replacing you might have a problem with "dormant" markers.
They will be included during the next execution of the replace command.
If you dont want that run: /kill @e[tag=bprand.areamarker]
If you encountered a crash during the execution you might also want to delete the selection markers and replace them to avoid issues.
All of my Datapacks are free to use, modify and rip apart.
If you add them to a pack or something of yours, please let me know so i can check it out.
I do not condone charging money for Datapacks.
You may not use any of my Datapacks for monetary gain.
(except if you are creating content with them [like YouTube videos])
