How to install Minecraft Data Packs

Have you ever wanted to start faster in a world, to have decent tools and a basic house premade for you? If yes then this pack will make your life much easier.

Using /triggerquickstart will giver you a list in the chat that you will be able to choose your starting house. Choose your house by clicking one of the options you see and you will get the choosen House Spawn Egg and a Magenta Glazed Terracotta block. Place the Magenta Glazed Terracotta on the ground, stand on it and right click the House Spawn Egg on top of the Glazed Terracotta to spawn the house.

The side that the arrow points to will be the front side of the house. At the moment each house is 13x13 and they will always be centered on the spot you placed the Magenta Glazed Terracotta.

Along with the house you will get a set of iron armor with protection 2, a set of diamond tools all with mending so that they can last a bit longer, a bow and a stack of arrows, 2 stacks of bread and some basic materials that should come in handy early on. Your gear and tools have curse of vanishing so it is recomended that you only use them in order to get your actual gear and tools faster.

Use /trigger quickstarthelp for ingame help.

Is there a way to change your starting loot? I think it’s a bit o to spawn with diamond tools, so I’d like to change the starting tools to iron

You cannot change anything in the structure that spawns without remaking the house schematic from the start and that would mean you have to remake all houses schematics from the start.

Hi! Amazing Datapack!! Ok so I'm a confused. I know how datapacks work on singleplayers world but is it the same for server? See don't have any experience playing datapacks on server so please some help! Anyways awesome datapack + 1 diamond.

Hi sorry for the late reply. My datapack works in multi-player and single player and as far as I know usually all data packs work that way too unless otherwise.

I'm a bit confused. How can I run this data pack without cheats activated? The trigger works, but selecting any of the houses does not work since I need cheats activated to access the "/scoreboard" command.

Unfortunatelly as of right now you need the cheats to be enabled in order to get the house so you need to enable the cheats in your world with lan.

Can't you just make it so players can select their house type with the /trigger command? /trigger quickstart_wood or /trigger quickstart_stone, for example.

Yeah i could do that but my original idea was the player to summon the house with out using commands although i kinda went away from that idea when i decided to use a chat gui system.

The /trigger command doesn't need the operator status or cheats enabled, that's how a lot of datapacks work. You're just setting the commands to be a little different. Alternatively you could make a custom written book called "Blueprints" and have the click events in the text of the book.

take out the stuff in the chest its very over powered those being there. I suggest keeping the command way that gives you the house how it is and bring back the lilttle structure but it doesn't give you the stuff in the chest
