You need to use it in the snapshots, along with the default 1.20 datapack.
Works with every type of armor and trim, but if you try to craft an rgb piece with an already trimmed one you will reset it to without trim, so always craft it to rgb first!
The recipe is shapeless but you need those 8 items.
After you have crafted a rgb armor piece, trim it with your favourite template and you are good to go!
