Slightly Less Hard Hardcore add a couple more lives in case you're like me and die within an hour of creating a hardcore world.
By default, SLHHC gives you 3 lives (see configuration below to change this). Each time you die, you lose a life (wow) and you'll get a message in chat telling you how many lives you have left.
You can check your lives by checking the Player List (hold tab) or by running /trigger MyLives.
Installation
Requires the world to be Hardcore! SLHHC depends on you being in spectator mode after dying.
Not tested in a server.
Installing SLHHC is no different than installing any other datapack, just throw it into your world's datapack folder or add it during world generation.
If you're adding the datapack after creating the world, you'll have to quit and rejoin the world after adding it so that it loads.
To make sure you installed it right, check the player list or run the trigger command.

Configuration
To change the lives SLHHC gives you:
- Find the SLHHC folder/zip in your datapacks folder.
- If it's a zip file, extract it and delete the old zip. Minecraft will load it as a zip, but you can't modify the contents of a zip file, so just use the folder.
- Open the folder, navigate to data -> slhhc -> functions, and open load.mcfunction with any text editor
- On line 7, there's a 3 (it's the only 3 in there), change that to whatever you want.
- Save it.

There isn't a particular command to add a life back, but you can set the number of deaths someone has had so far.
scoreboard players set @p SLHHC-Deaths 0
..............................Player ^.............................^ How many times they supposedly died.
