An Ender Dragon revamp datapack that makes the fight MUCH harder and more interesting.
Aim true for the crystals in the first phase!
Be careful of its deadly swoops and watch the sky for raining acid meteors during the second phase!
And take advantage of its vulnerability whenever it lands! (With caution).
For this fight I highly recommend netherite armor enchanted with blast proection and/or protection. Resistance potions are also recommended
Originally I made two datapacks, one called Harder Ender Dragon, and another called Harder Ender Dragon EX. After a long while of not working on either of these I decided to come back and improve on the Harder Dragon EX datapack, while abandoning the normal version since I felt the existence of both wasn't truly necessary.
The main changes from HED EX to this are additional particles and sound effects, increased aggression, better phase 2 crystals summoning, and a more interesting landed phase.
The pack is listed as only for 1.20 because that's the only version I've tested it on. Feel free to try it on earlier/later versions if you want.
Don't ask me for ports/updates, I barely ever work on Minecraft stuff anymore nowadays anyway.

Worked well in 1.20.4 singleplayer, but needed a few changes for 1.20.4 Paper. These aren't errors with the datapack and are issues on Paper's end.
Regardless - if anybody else is interested, here are the required changes for 1.20.4 Paper:
