Scare yourself or your friends with these rare Herobrine apparitions!

He appears roughly every hour and 25 minutes around a randomly chosen player accompanied by a cave sound. It's easy to miss him, so sightings won't become dull and normal quickly.

This is a very subtle visual trick! Herobrine does not do any harm to players, mobs or the world.
He only observes you from a distance on the Overworld surface. If you approach him or look at him, he will disappear without a trace.

Tired of waiting? Summon him immediately with this command:
/function herobrine:yoohoo

Note! There can only be one Herobrine at a time, so don't spam the command.

possible bug?? herobrine's model spawns with ari's skin for some reason
other than that, this is a cool little datapack and i like how its been implemented here


also got me a cool little image you can only see for three days (you can see the bug(?) in action)

Ha, I thought that could happen. Since there is no resource pack involved, the summon command I believe fetches the skin from Minecraft's skin servers. So if you have network problems, Herobrine may have the wrong skin. 😆 Just an unfortunate side effect I cannot fix.

I'm fairly certain it's just network issues, but there could be other reasons too. If you use the /function herobrine:yoohoo command, does it happen again? Does it happen without your resource pack?

idk about resource packs but when i was taking this screenshot i did use the yoohoo command since he spawns so rarely. so maybe its that? idk

The command shouldn't affect it in any way. Behind the scenes there is a timer ticking, and when it is full, Herobrine spawns. The yoohoo command simply fills the timer up, forcing him to spawn immediately. So I'm sure the command itself has nothing to do with the problem, but I wondered if this would happen multiple times if you tried it again. Either way, it is pretty funny!

Will this work with datapacks like LIMBO?

This does not modify world generation, so there should be no conflicts. But if I remember correctly, I made it so Herobrine can only spawn in the overworld. Therefore you won't see him in the LIMBO dimension.

It would be pretty easy to fix though if you want to do it and if you know anything about commands. Just remove the square brackets that have the word overworld inside them.
