Hello everyone!
This data pack adds a new superflat dimension to your world. This dimension could be used for build-planning, as a clipboard, a Redstone testing ground, etc. The challenging part of this project, was to store the player's position when switching between the superflat dimension and the overworld. Here's how it works: First, the player is teleported to (0, -63, 0) in each dimension where an end_gate is temporarily spawned. This then teleports the player back to their old position, which is stored in a scoreboard.
This project was simple and fun to figure out, and perhaps someone will find it useful. I appreciate any feedback as I am rather inexperienced with data pack creation.
-To switch between the overworld and the superflat dimension, use: "/trigger switch"
notes:
-Reload the data pack first when creating a new world
-When reloading the data pack, the player should be in the overworld
-Switching from the End or the Nether dimension does not work
Enjoy!
