This datapack adds a brand new dimension, called the Nova Galaxy!
(Only works on late 1.16 pre-release 3!)

The Nova Galaxy is a floating islands based dimension, with the same structures and biomes generation settings as the overworld.

To access the dimension, you'll need an elytra, with a bunch of fireworks. You need to fly up really high into the sky, and the game should automatically teleport you to the bottom of the new dimension. The same works in reverse: if you fall down from the Nova Galaxy, you should automatically get teleported very high in the overworld.


How to install?
1) At world creation:
Go into the "Data packs" tab. Drag and drop the zip file onto the window, and select "Yes" before enabling the data pack.

2) Pre-existing world
On the world selection screen, click your world and select "Edit". Click "Open World Folder". Drag and drop the zip file into the "datapacks" folder.

Hmm... Position of wrecked ship same in overworld when you fall. Looks like this dimension copied every block from overworld and remove water. Right?
Ah. And also. Did Nova Galaxy has many types of biomes or just one (deep ocean, ocean)?

The Nova Galaxy uses the floating island world preset. So it contains every biome that an overworld map contains, including oceans, and that's why wrecked ships appear. I'm trying to figure out the biome creator and features configurator, I've already managed to configure the Nova Galaxy so it only contains specific biomes (and so specific structures). I'll try to update as soon as possible, the upcoming version contain a portal to teleport to the nova galaxy as well as completely new biomes

It's too bad we can't target other worlds with End Gateway blocks - cuz that's the only vanilla portal I'm aware of with any level of destination targeting control. I guess one could spawn an end gateway block without an exit location set and periodically check for a player standing in it and do the TP that way - but a non-polling solution would be best, hope Mojang provides such a solution in the near future :D

Of course! Use /execute in custom:novagalaxy run tp ~ ~ ~ to teleport to the dimension. As for the portal, I'm still thinking about it

The dimension is broken in 1.16 pre release 3 for some reasons. I'll try to find a fix and update it soon!
