This datapack is really simple yet a feature I have wanted to see in Vanilla Minecraft for a long time. With it installed, totems will save you from the void. It works in all three dimensions, and in both hands. It's not as elegant as before, but it now works a lot more reliably.

This would be the perfect pack for a skyblock world or if you just love end busting. Enjoy!!

Funny you asked. I actually made it so that it teleports you to a nearby spot (below y=128), where you will be safe from block damage

how does this work? the totem teleports you to your bed or something?

Nope. It just teleports you back to safety. There must be land nearby in order for this to work, so if you fall in the gap between the end islands and the mainland than tough luck

Just downloaded this and tried it out.
1. The data pack is packaged incorrectly, so you need to unzip it for it to work.
2. Even though you're saved from the void, you still die upon being teleported back to land.
3. Not necessarily a problem, but the data pack has a ton of empty folders in it that can be deleted.

Please fix these problems (and implement _williamab's offhand fix) and this datapack will be pretty much perfect.

All of those problems are now fixed! Thanks so much for pointing it out, as it gave me the motivation to get it done!

Just redownloaded and it works great now, thanks so much for fixing it!

Though you still didn't fix the folder structure, nor all the empty folders in data\void_totems. And you should probably actually fill out the pack.mcmeta file (give it an icon, and a description besides "Something interesting"), and delete the weird pac.mcmeta.txt file that's alongside it.

For the folder structure, take the data folder and the pack.mcmeta file and zip those. DON'T put them into a folder and zip the folder, otherwise the file won't be a quick drag-and-drop installation like datapacks should be. If anything I'm saying at all sounds a bit confusing then please feel free to PM me with questions if you need to.

see how I have it and something else select the files you want to compress and compress them in .zip or rar

is to directly make the data pack work
