     (For texture pack to work you need optifine)

    What does it do?
    The Water Strider acts exactly like a normal strider, but it actually dies in lava and water. But it's a water strider right? We'll they prefer to be on top of water. They create ice under their feet, they get unhappy when not on ice.

    Where does it spawn?
    It rarely spawns on beaches near turtles.

    Why Do I Need Optifine For The Texture Pack?
    Optifine has a feature where named mobs can have their texture changed, this doesn't actually replace textures of striders but only the water striders.

    they move different, they act different, the strider is faster, the strider is a pet and can move faster on land then a boat.

    why'd you need something to travel on foot? if you dont want to lose hunger you can just use a horse
