Welcome Messages
Welcome Messages is a datapack that enables new players to be greeted when they first log into your world. In this data pack, I have also included a motd feature and a personal re-join message to the player who is reconnecting. If a player would like to see the motd again, they can trigger it by using the command seen in the screenshot above. The motd feature currently does not send to players upon re-joining but it would be very easy to add if people would like this feature!




Why I made this

This is my first ever datapack so please let me know if you have any comments and suggestions or even tips and tricks with the code! I wrote this for my own personal vanilla server after searching for something similar and not finding anything! I did not want to run Bukkit / Spigot on my server to keep it as close to vanilla as I possibly can, and it was a fun challenge to write my first datapack.
