The goal of this datapack is to help you easily make teams for any mini-games you and your friends might enjoy. I attempted to preform this in a datapack as quickly and clearly as possible.
To start, do /reload
From here, the prompts in chat will easily ask you for different gamerules that you might want to include.
To make 2 teams do /function team:create/2
To make 4 teams do /function team:create/4
For a more in-depth explanation look at the pictures with captions above. 🔝
For a more in-depth explanation look at the gamerules this pack offers, reference picture #6.
Things To Note:
This will make appropriate teams and display a prompt for all in chat.
Each player will be able to anyone each team they choose (even if they don't have op).
only the player running the functions will be able to see the rest of the gamerule options.
All players should be logged on before most gamerule commands are run.
As far as I know, it works with every version above 1.13
Should be pretty self-explanatory, but if you have any questions feel free to ask.
If you want a feature to be added let me know and I can try to incorporate it.

The data pack does only have 2 - 4 teams.
There is no option to change the name of the teams, but you can do so by doing:
/teams modify [name of team] displayname [new name]
There are only the world border options shown. I figured if you wanted a different world border size you could just do:
/worldborder set [size]
There is no way to shrink the world border using the datapack. This is because there are so many different combinations of decreases and time it takes to decrease them. If you need to change the world border, do:
/worldborder add [positive number to increase size and negative number to decrease size] [time]
