World Without Lights {-|-IC Thread-|-}

Ela sat on the wall looking at he sunset happily, her tail hung down the side of the wall and her ears were out. Nobody was around so she could have her ear out and she could didnt have to hide them as they ached if she folded them into her hair and into her skirt. There was a soft breeze in the air and she was rather cold, nobody was around except her, there was something she was looking for, though she had no idea what it was.

Ethan ran across the ruined ground with his bat. They were coming after him. Some kind of mutant..

He saw a ledge, jumped and climbed on top of the building. He had become very acrobatic since he ran away from home. He hid behind a few crates on the roof and the mutants were gone...

Jacob wandered around aimlessly, lost, as he literally always was. He felt rather sickly today, "Probably those berries..." He mumbled under his breath, holding onto his stomach with his right hand. He coughed, and fell down to he knees. tripping on a tree root halfway in the ground. He regained his balance, after a few minutes, then carried on walking.

Ela sighed as the sun was almost set and she jumped off the wall and walked down and out of the allyway looking at the ground unhappily, her black cat ears drooped down and her tail did the same.

Ethan sighed as the sun set. He needed to find shelter again. He climbed from roof to roof until he found a small town. "Will do.." he said to himself and went inside. He went to the nearest inn but she said they were full. So Ethan pretended to go out of the town but climbed on a random person's house roof. He got a blanket and pillow then fell asleep.

Ela continued walking down the dull street, every night vampires attacked and many were taken, she thought about everything the vampires had done to her. She put her hand on her chest and closed it into a fist narrowing her eyes "I will get revenge." she whispered however she was not brave enough to fight them.

In a second, Jake heard a screeching howl nearby, and without even turning is head towards it, he started into a full-on sprint away. Though he had some pain in his left leg, he ran, until ending up in some village, or town of some sort. He slowly came to a normal walking pace, limping slowly down a road of some sort.

(( This is Ela's town, as well. ))

Ela looked up at somebody who seemed to be limping, without realizing that he was injured or that she had her ears and tail out she continued down the road and when she was a few feet away from him she had a double take and then she looked up at the boy and froze nervously. If he was bitten by a vampire he might be one... And if I dont hide my ears he will notice... She thought but for some reason she was too afraid to move.

Jacob barely noticed the person, until he heard her thoughts. He turned his head to her as he stopped, looking up and down at her, "I'm not a vampire, and I haven't been bitten." He told her calmly, paying no mind to the fact she was half cat. Truthfully, he was scared of what she might do to him, which was clear in his eyes.

Ela was rather shocked at how he had answered, Its almost as if he knew what I was thinking... But she wiped the thought out of her mind and believed it was coincidence. "Oh... Um... What happened to you leg?" She asked her ears quickly ducked into her hair and her tail rolled into her mini skirt.

Jacob decided not to answer to her thoughts this time, as the first time was rather accidental. "Nothing." He said, well, lied. His leg was badly injured, and broken, actually. It had been for a few days, but this pain was nothing compared to what he usually endured.

"Hmm.. Okay, I havent seen you around here before, have you got somewhere to stay, vampires will be out soon and I know where an inn is." Ela said looking down at his foot then back up to him, Damn, my ears and tail are aching so bad, trying to hide them is a pain... She thought unhappily as they shook slightly but it was barely noticeable when they moved.

"No, I don't have anywhere to stay. I don't have any money, or anything as well, either." Jacob said, still looking at her, interested in her. She seemed to be a creature he hadn't seen before, and an extremely nice one, at that. The last creature he had met, had tried to eat him whole. "You can let your ears and talk out, I don't mind at all." He told her, shrugging very lightly to himself, which actually hurt him, though he did his best not show it.

"How did you...?" She was about to ask him and then she shook her head and continued to leave them in pretending he never said it. Nope, nope he.. He can't, It would be impossible to read thoughts... "Okay follow me then!" She said trying to sound enthusiastic, then she lead him down the road into the inn where she stood at the counter "Did you need anything to eat?" She asked him.

Jacob followed her, until entering the inn. Inside, were shabby tables, old chairs, and candles everywhere. Every time a candle went out, it seemed somebody would quickly run over and light it again. "No thanks." He responded after a minute, shaking his head.

"Okay then.. Did you need a room?" She asked "I can buy one for you if you would like!" Ela said as he seemed like an outsider and she learnt that she had to be nice to outsiders.

Ethan was still sleeping on the roof.
