Server thread setting

In server properties, I have the setting "max-threads=".
The default is set to 8.
But my CPU, (AMD A10-6800K) is a 4 thread CPU. Would it be better for me to set it to 4, or leave it at 8 or set it to more than 8? Or set to 0 so server uses as many as possible?

from my experience it doesn't make a difference if it's set over the number of threads you have, but it's useful if you are trying to use less threads
anyway I'd put 4 just because it looks nicer and makes sense
