Chapter 1: Waking up.

It all happened so fast. Light's flashing, fire raging, and nether itself had come to earth. The pigmen came first. They emerged from Ravenwood after the storm's. They came to the overworld through flashes of light. The elder's called them lightning strikes. They were like one way portal's out of hell. Next came the lava slimes. They came from inside the cities through nether portal's, burning a way out. No one was safe at that point. Believe it or not, it got worse.
I woke up with a start. I was having the dream's again. The dream's of my town burning. Of the pigmen breaking in. And through that all, i knew there was a bigger threat. I didn't know what yet, i just knew. I looked around my room. I was decorated by painting's, flower's and window's. There was a chest at the foot of my bed with fighting equipment in it. You just never know.
*Knock knock knock* "Hey steve, ya in there?" Someone yelled from outside. "Your going to be late!". "Coming!" I yelled back. I had planned for a mining trip with my friend today. Today was a special day for the village. It was the day they got their first diamond's, and we were assaigned to mine them.
I walked out of my room and into the living space. Double chests with workbenches separating them, torches on the wall, and some window's. One of the better houses in the village. I walked up to the chest with the label "Mining equipment" above it. I opened it, and was greeted to shining iron tool's, some torches, and a ladder kit. I put all of the items into my bag, and noticed a funny looking item. It was red and black, with a glowing meter that had the word POWER next to it. I took it with me, in hopes my friend would know what it was.
I put on all my gear and opened the door. I was greeted with a beautifull sunrise, flower's around my house, and the wind blowing. Wait.. wind? I dont remember any -- My thought's were interupted by my friend. "Hey steve! Your finally up!" He said. "Yea, thank's to you, Cake." I said lazily. "So, you ready?" I asked.
"As ready as i'll ever be. I heard that if you go deep enough to mine diamond's, you can hear the nether."
"Oh, stop being a baby!"
We made our way down to the town in a deep conversation on how we would get down to the diamond level.
