Bored of Building

Take a break and try something else. Like skinning. I am done with skinning for multiple reasons, so I am going to try building and blogging.

I had this problem as well. I couldn't think of any designs at all, and had to see others come up with the greatest designs. But instead of doing nothing and just being depressed about it, which I did in the first place, I started, as Fantasy said, copy other peoples building styles, looked up pictures on google of fantasy builds or medieval. And after a few weeks, I created a creative map, just placed a block, built a gate, built a wall, build more walls, added another floor, added another floor , then build a roof, on top of that a dome, and suddenly I had a masterbuilding (at least that's what some other guy said about it).

So what I'm saying is: Don't give up, continue trying, and if it doesn't work: why no survival?

Take a look at other people's builds that are completely different from your own style, and try to build in that style.

Or play on survival for a while, and try to build something great in it.

Or get a modpack launcher (Techniclauncher or FTB launcher), and start exlporing it in both creative and survival. Tekkit Classic on its own has already enough new blocks and possibilities to be interesting for quite some time.

Take a break and you will probably get your inspiration back. We all need breaks and you will enjoy it even more when you come back.

Then build on my server! I bet you won't be bored then.
