Building suggestions
So I have been building a medieval town in my friends survival server. I have been getting pretty far along building all sorts. A lot of the builds are not my own. But I have been trying more and more to make original stuff. I started with the houses, now I am working on the castle walls and the road leading up to it. I wanna put two guard towers next to the road (which is not finished yet), almost as a check point. This is what I have so far, I feel like its lacking texture. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for the quick responses. The first two pictures are actually my single player world where I test out the structures first to see how they look. The houses just happened to be in the background. The texture pack is chroma hills (though the cobblestone and stone brick is persistence). These are the houses in the server real quick if your wondering. I try not to take too many pictures of the structures in the server as some of it is not original, though all the houses are.
Use default texture pack if you're on a server, let's start with that.
This is pretty good, just try not to intersect blocks if possible.
EDIT: And you say you feel it's lacking texture? Put the buildings a lot closer & try to "intertwine" them and that'll fix that pretty easily. It'll make it so it doesn't feel like just a bunch of houses sitting around, instead it will feel like the houses were built off of each other (good)

What resource pack is that but anyway like Trusthimnow said it needs more detail and variation
Needs more depth, detail, variation, and overall less boringness. I see the same roof pasted over on boxes of log filled with stonebrick which is all flat.
