So I've seen many aplications for pointed dripstone in various builds, but I have a question: Can dripstone be used to emulate rusticles on a metal shipwreck?

If you are familliar with the Titanic Wreck, rusticles are the name for stalactite-like formations the waste product of iron-eating bacteria. The entire wreck is covered in them and they're slowly eating away at it.
I've seen at least one titanic wreck build that was made entirely out of dirt blocks, but we know have a wider selection of brownish blocks to ad more texture to add texture to such a build. Regular dripstone blocks even look like rivers of rust found along the sides of completely vertical surfaces on the wreck.

When making curves or angled surfaces, they're still rather block and you can place pointed dripstone under them to mimic rusticles.

Ngl you could definitely pull it off with the right blocks around the rusticles
Interesting concept, you should try out some build ideas and share them!
I was thinking taking this map and partially modifying it.
This was made 4 years ago and is built entirely out of stone and dirt, but we now have more varieties of blocks with muted/earth tones that we can now use to give the wreck better texturing.
