Java is the best. Mods, Maps, More servers, and no stupid micro-transactions.
yup
Java is just crushing bedrock
JAVA FOR THE WINN!!!!!!!
I only play Bedrock for the time being but I honestly see both the pros and the cons with each other even though I'm more of a spectator of Java then I am a player of it.
Though Java players can flex their mods, Bedrock is cross-platform, thus your friends on Xbox can play with the same people on pc or mobile all in one world at the same time. I get Minecoins are a pain... but keep in mind it's not for Mojang or Microsoft it's for the people who apply for Microsoft's partnership program and gets paid with Minecoins that the consumer bought and exchange the Minecoins for real currency (basically like Roblox's developer exchange only less corrupted) so what a consumer finds as an inconvenience the seller sees it as a way to make money on what he/she loves doing.
As for Java, the amount of content and customization you can do in Java is great and the fact that it's just a one time purchase is really convenient for players. Many of the mods that people have made within it just blows me away and learning how straight forward it is to make your own, blows me even more.
But at the end of the day whatever version you play, as long as your having fun that should come down to it.

Just got Java, so I'll get to see both perspectives now and hopefully make a better judgment.
YOU CAN GET MODS ON JAVA
I like Bedrock, cuz don't have leg spikes
but you dont need that goddamn minecoins, i own both java and bedrock, but i primarily play java
But you don't "need" Minecoins of Bedrock either, you can literally just skip the Marketplace all together and not pay a single dollar and still have fun.
Minecoins are just used more for skins, and add-ons, and the money isn't going to Microsoft or Mojang directly for the coins will be going to the creators on the Marketplace because of the partnership program that Microsoft set up, so now, people can actually make money off the work they put in instead of hopefully getting an offer of a 3rd party website and maybe not get scammed and that implies for both sides for now if a person buys a map on the market place you know that both Mojang and Microsoft approved it so you'll be getting at least something good from what you'd paid for.
Not trying to be like "Minecoins are awsome" or some crud like that, I'm just trying to give you more perspective on why Minecoins were made in the first place, and even if you think you need to have Minecoins to have fun or look cool, you're mistaken for there's still loads of free stuff on the Marketplace or you can earn through achievements, and I don't care what you say the Plague Doctor Villager Mask is awsome!
