I would try to use a murder-mystery map like cj1m said, but if you could make a "Lost world" map, where an old civilization was, and have redstone traps, mazes, and dense forestry, I believe that would be interesting. Have some treasure at the end, or if you are in a multiplayer map, have some of the currency as a reward. :L
maybe like a whole thing to find this treasure thing and then when you get to the supposed location there is a sign that says something like you are such a fool there was no treasure, it was just a myth
