Bad news ☹️indeed .
Alternately, you might explore more of the version[s] your hardware will support.
[An unfortunate illustration of another issue with the continued focus on new bright shinies rather than debugging and performance restoration.]

wha??
You said you can no ,onger run MC on your computer, this implies you have previously been able to do so.
Going back to one of the versions your computer will run would be a stop-gap solution until you are able to upgrade.
[The parenthetical remark was a general gripe about the ever increasing requirements to sucessfully run MC largely caused by more attention to new additions and less to optimizing the existing game. ]

go to the launcher, click instalations, choose a profile and click it. Click Catalog of the game and choose the directory. Turn on the game with the profile
If you have any worlds on disc C:
type in your search bar %appdata% and go to roaming, .minecraft and move all the data there
