Just testing out sending ram through a single line of redstone. The 8 bit signal is sent in pulses of on and off signals, with a leading and tail signal.

So L|01000001|T = A
So L|01000010|T = B
and so on...

This allows for 256 different signals to be sent through just 1 line of redstone. It's also fairly fast for what it does, sending around 3 bits of information per second

Been quite a long time since i have played tekkit, it's pretty amazing all the different things you can do in it. I still prefer using vanilla minecraft in that you can use basic redstone inverters and repeaters, to then create some very complex components.

I would like to check your world out, but i don't have any of that installed at the moment and don't really have time for it. Maybe you could post some screen shots of things that you have done
