Command Changes

Guess what? They've done it again.

/testfor @p[x,y,z,r=1]

This no longer works.

/testfor @p[x=#,y=#,z=#,r=#]

This now has to be used. Again.

Dear programmers at Mojang, please stop doing this! You switch back and forth constantly with the way these commands need to be written, and it's really unfair on us map makers, who spend ages making maps. Only to find that when they play it in the new update, nothing works. Because of this stupid back and forth switching. Keep it one way, or the other. Please. I guess that's my new map (Hopefully not) down the toilet.

I normally just write an mcedit python script when they decide to change a command. That way I can update maps that were broken by this change if I want to. But yeah, it's pretty annoying.

Keep in mind though that they make these changes for a reason, most likely to make new features possible or because the old method had buggy behavior (the way Minecraft is coded is very messy, to say the least. Since it was never meant to be such a big thing). I just wish they would implement ways to make commands update on their own without me having to do it manually or by writing my own script to do it.

This doen't just demotivate me, it straight up depresses me. All that work for Mojang to take a dump on. And the map, with these changes, is pretty broken. I'd literally have to go command block to command block to change the syntax. And the way i built it, with all the command blocks embedded in the ground so the player can't see them, really isn't an option right now. This map is totally ruined. I could finish it in 1.10, but then nobody would really play it .¬.

Mojang needs to listen better, all of these command changes aren't really needed, and certain things (like the sea biome) are sorely in need of an update. We do NOT need these command changes, and flying ghost monkeys.
I hope you can continue with your adventure map as planned!
