Items as buttons?
For those of you who play on servers such as hypixel and mineplex, then you're definitely familiar with the idea of using items as buttons. I know, it's probably a mod, but is there any way of doing something like it in vanilla minecraft?

Like the invisibility clock, which can hide other players? There are many tutorials on youtube, showing how to make right click detection. If you connect it with command block with testfor command for specific item using AND gate for example, you will get the effect. Well, if I understood correctly of course.
Well at least that i can deal with its mods that have me down
In vanilla? Sounds like a command block headache at best.
