Need basic redstone projects

Hello, I had Minecraft for quite a while, maybe like a year , but I am super bad at redstone that you could call me a redstone noob but don't do it. Any basic starter projects I can do to make me better at it? Thanks

A good redstone project would be to design a redstone house. Those are always fun.
If you are looking for a command block project, try build basic block effects (when you touch ablock it gives you an effect) in minecraft.

I'd suggest making some simple minigames (with pistons and stuff). That way you can have some function with them too.
Some ideas:
Minecart Archery (You're on a minecart, and have to shoot targets, that could be blocked by pistons some of the time)

or repeaterless repeaters... watch Sethblings videos to help with some stuff he does alot of redstoning... watch his redstone lessons with a mojangster thing k
-_- Sethbling...... hahaha you make me laugh..... now a days he just plays his retarded mario and he barley does any redstone. Dragonoz go watch him hes really the main redstone tutorial person on youtube now.
Start with trying to make a custom crafting project thats the easiest project to do because theres so many tutorials out there to do it.
