Observer block
Minecraft version 1.11 just came out a week or so ago, and a new redstone block was released! The observer is basically a BUD in one block. Any ideas as to what we can utilize this for?

It can serve as completely vertical Redstone write.
No delay redstone signal
(Observer instead of redstone repeaters)

I made a fast observer clock.
P- -Piston facing right
-P -Piston facing left
BoR- Block of Redstone
O- Observer
SB- Solid block
P- BoR

Two things to note:
1. The observer is facing UP.
2. To start the clock, just place dust under the redstone block.
