try not to overwhelm yourself with details
Deffinitely gonna keep this in mind. Thanks!
Gathering up all the tutorials I've followed, hope it will help!
Alright, so first things first, i made a collection of very useful skinning tutorial blogs on PMC, here it is:
The collection i made.
Then here are some helpful videos i recomend seeing:
Tutorials by Gumoh
Tutorial by Jingles
To make skins i recommend using either
PMCSkin3D (helpful tutorial to how to use it)
Blockbench which can also be used with the web app
oh skindex can't be used rn (they got a dmca)
To edit them you can also use
Paint.net
Aseprite (more features but paid) or Libresprite (less features but free)
Or Gimp
Some advice from me:
Don't compare yourself to more experienced skinners, it really makes your motivation go down, instead try to learn from them and their skins.
Never stop "messing around" or testing or trying new things. It made me slow down alot on improving, being afraid to shade, learn hue shifting, and even not willing to not use "wrapping" on my skins; context
Don't overwhelm yourself, if you're too tired to work, just don't
Try to see it as a fun hobby you're learning not some kind of job
And lastly good luck on this journey, looking forward to see how you'll go in this!

that was unnecessary
