Ok.... so I am absolutely terrible (or just extremely judgmental of myself... i prefer the first) at making female skins. Think someone could give me some pointers at making them better?

http://www.planetminecraft.com/skin/punk-chick-2560065/

that's currently the only one I have uploaded here, and i'm not a fan of it.

Edit: if you want to point out suckiness (that's a word now) in my others feel free to do so, but this is mostly about the above topic

then again i have no idea how to make decent female looking skins
Also you can look at female skins on the reel and see what they have

I have no idea what i'm doing with the hair this skin anymore

Edit: at least i'm learning new stuff to do during my free time xD
Edit 2: it's pre shade for now, i want to figure out what i'm doing with it before spending the time to redo my shading

Like others have said, try using 'girly' colors Good work though!

I would recommend doing a bit more shading.

By that do you mean more noticeable, or change up from what i'm using (gradient)?

Working on replacing the skin right now, mini skirt, tank top (debatable on how it looks) and i'll experiment with different hair as well

what he means is that female skins and male skins tend to have different shading, for my male skins i change the body/hair/eye shading.

These aren't bad, they are pretty good! I wouldn't mind using one of your skins if I didn't already have my own skin.

I think maybe by trying to make her look punk you're just trying to make her look like the male version of the skin too much, take the anarchy emblem or the green hair from the old skin but make the rest feminine; big hair, eyelashes, fringe, layered effect skirt, shaped top rather than just a shirt, etc

Shes still pretty girly with the skirt and the shapes of the clothing but the punk element is there in the colours and the design of the clothing.

Use yellow, red, purple, pink, etc. It gives an aura of 'warm and soft' which is more feminine.

well try using more "girlish" colors like pink, purple, etc. I would also get rid of the gasses and make other ways so she can look punk like her hair color could be 2 toned, punkish skirt/shirt. Finally i would have given her eye lashes so it's really obvious she is female
